The holidays are upon us, which means sparkling, shimmering lights are all around. While these beautiful lights and holiday decorations bring warmth and glow to the season, they can leave your normal home decor seeming lackluster in comparison. If you’re looking to add a little glamour to your house that can last all year long, consider a beautiful crystal chandelier.
Crystal chandeliers are no longer reserved for over the dining room table or grand entryway. Today, crystal chandeliers and other crystal fixtures come in a variety of shapes, sizes and styles, which lend themselves to different applications throughout the home.
One of our favorite places to add a crystal chandelier is in the bedroom. Nothing says luxury like a stunning piece hung over your bed. Chandeliers also lend themselves to the perfect reading nook accent. If you don’t have space for either of these options, smaller chandeliers or crystal pendants hung over the bedside tables add a unique touch to a bedroom and open up space on the table by removing the need for a lamp.
While the bathroom may not be the first space that comes to mind when thinking of crystal chandeliers, they can add a spa-like beauty to even the smallest space. Consider hanging a grand chandelier over your bathtub, or place smaller crystal pendants on either side of the bathroom mirror. A home office doesn’t need to be boring or bland. A beautiful workspace can increase happiness and productivity. Consider adding a crystal chandelier above your desk. Placing the chandelier on a dimmer switch will also allow you to adjust the light levels throughout the day as natural light levels change.
A stunning chandelier can add style and beauty to any room of the house. Don’t dismiss the idea just because you prefer a more modern or simplistic look either. Today, with the advancements in LED and fixture design, there’s a crystal chandelier to fit every style, from modern to rustic to traditional. If you don’t have room for a chandelier, your crystal dreams are not crushed. Today there are lamps, pendants and even ceiling fans that utilize crystal. The possibilities are endless.
